I got out with my original TFF fishing partner and while the wind was not blowing when we left the house it was blowing when we got to the lake.

We hit a few location on the east side of the lake and found sand bass scattered on the edges of the humps, small ones who would slap the baits a bunch before taking them. They were hitting the smaller slabs 3/4 and 1/2 ounce slabs, they were not really keen in picking up the larger slabs.

We fished for two hours max and picked up no more than a dozen fish with one pale looking black bass in the bunch, all except one were undersized. The water was 55-53 degrees, stained, but heavier murkier on the east side of the lake.

Regardless it was nice to get out with 220 and pick up a few sandies.
