For those of you in the boat show on Sunday, I want to apologize for getting too close to some of yall. I was trying to drive and fish at the same time and not doing too well at either.

I went out today, only had 4 keepers and a few snaller ones, they were north of fireman's in 25 feet off where the cove meets the lake. I located some schools off dog head point but I got lock jaw on these. I stayed out to long and got caught with the wind and waves, I kept her into the waves and went to Lynn Park the park worker was checking on me as it was rough.

well glad to hear you are okay Mike I am sure it did get pretty rough out there, were the birds working at all today? That is why I didn't go today I had heard about the weather not being so good this afternoon.

I life my career on the road working for bands! But Sunday was the best day I've had on jp in my 16+yes of living in gp. Caught around 15 keepers with my friends. Then Monday got another 6, was in the pontoon boat. Now plan packing up and going back to Arlington before my iron maiden tour starts, but will be back home in august and will try again

Great infor on this site , went from 10-12:15 monday morn. and caught 35 .There were birds schooling around the point west of dogs head down from the boat ramp on the south side and seen 3 or 4 boats down there but i didn't chase them . There was no wind when i arrived and blue bird skys , decided to try humps in deeper water south of dogs head and thats where all our fish came from out of 20'-25' on man-o-lures 1/2 ounce sliver .WE had
all sandies except 2 fish (1 cappie and 1 bass) all fish between
9 and 12 would have posted on monday but didn't have time before
leaving for work so here it is, keep the reports coming. This is the 1st time i have been on pool this year but the reports got the best of me .

good to hear that you took the time to hit JP it sure can be a good fishing lake. I will be headed out there one day mid-week and will report what is going on when I get back. It will be interesting to see how this hotter weather effects the recent bite.

I will be headed out there in a few hours. I am not even going to try for the green ones. I also ordered some hummdingers, can't wait for those to come in, so I can give them a try. Is there a bait store I can get these, or is the web site the only option? I'm kind of hyper when I decide I want a bait, I always want it yesterday woot

well I can tell you that you can get TNT slabs at Academy in south arlington off of cooper street and they carry several brands of the humdinger style of lures the ones that have been working for me are the XPS brand from bass pro shops tailspinners that is. The other day my buddy was using a little george again another tailspinner bait and he was catching as many as I was. One other thing chartreuse and white seem to be the two colors that have worked best for me lately.

I took out my two little girls (7 & 9) for about 2 hours today, and it was amazing. We caught over 30 fish and kept 21 over 10". They had an absolute blast, and the best part, is as soon as it slowed down, we took off. So there was 0 boredom. We were catching them on little gorges, ratl traps, and slabs. But the slabs were definitely the best.

Howell - that is awesome, when I first read about the i-pilot, that was the feature that caught my attention.
