After powdercoating the jig do the eyes just stick on,or do you need to glue them too?

I glue them on just to make sure they do not come off. I have noticed just sticking thm on is not enough. They can get rubbed off in brush or any structure below the surface.

I put the eyes on, then put a coat of hard as nails over them

+1
Thats works for me too, Dale. The clear coat will also protect the head paint a bit.

Ya I used to hard as nails over the whole head, but I lose them so fast in the brush that I dont have time for the paint to chip off anyway...LOL

Larry,The powdercoating was so simple I thought I was doing it wrong. The heads look better than just painting them too.I did heat a couple of jig heads too much and melted them.oops I was putting a coat of clear coat on the eyes but wanted to make sure it was neccesary. Thanks

Cathing them at Bridgeport- give me a call and we'll go get a few some afternnon. Tie some jigs with white heads and light blue chenille if you have some. Blue and chartreuse baby shads are good too.
