By the way me and a friend of mine were the only flyfisherman. The rest were bait chunkers.Mine were caught on a white Wooly booger with bead head.

Copperhead

Thanks. Today I spoke with another of the FW fly fishers and he gave me some very specific instructions. I'm starting to get it. Now I just need to go.

Thanks again.

Im new to the area and was wondering if you could give me some directions on how to get there. Im not used to Dallas so if you can dumb it down that would be great. I currently live in Frisco.

I fished the Blue a few weeks ago and had no luck. I would love to find a place to fish that close and actually has fish there.

Go I20 into Fort Worth, exit off on Bryant Irvin Rd.go north to the river.I would fish down stream from the bridge.Remember in Feb.2 the same company is stocking in Forest Park.Im told these trout are from Missouri.Maybe this is why they are bigger than usual. The guys fishing with spinnig tackle were doing good with small Panther Martins, and all were doing good with Power Bait.

There is still a big one or more at River Park.
You should have seen the wake he made moving through the water this morning..Didn't catch any earth shakers today but had fun and got to see my buddy John who works at Cabela's..If you want to get showed up go fish with John..He really knows what he's doing with a fly rod..Even in the 20 mph wind he was still casting perfectly and catching them after my skills had played out.

Hey, I just realized the big trout I caught today was a Brown Trout..Thought he looked kind of strange with that big hooked jaw but it didn't dawn on me untill I laid him out on the cleaning table. Never caught one before and didn't know they had stocked any. Maybe it was an accident. Pretty cool though. Lost a bigger rainbow at the bank. So there is STILL a big one at River Park.
