Well yesterday, I decided better thake the boat out of the boathouse to see if I could still get it out of the cove, with the lake about 7 ft down now. Well I did get it out and looked over the lake for any structure that I should mark, but not low enough to show a lot yet. I figure got about another week before I have to put the boat on the trailer. I did wet a few hooks while out tried couple spots caught one Sandie not to big but keeper. decided to try the discharge so went over there and tied down. First cast with chartruese slabnshad hung this 21 1/2 inch Hybrid, just under 4 lbs, a little skinny so far. Stayed a little while longer caught one nice Crappie and a few Sandies. Ended up with 10 Whites, one hybrid and one Crappie decided that was all I needed to clean so I went home, left them biting, all in all a fun day.

Johnny, I was talking about the fish being skinny, but you are right, the water is getting that way also. Still a great fighter though, got me under the steel cable out there and I had a heck of a time getting him back where I wanted him, and I was using heavy tackle.

I have got over the hunting habit, Kinda like my dad in his later years. He told me he still liked to hunt but fishing was just so much easier, besides one bad habit for me is enough.

The black bass fishing has been excellent on Graham of late. Top water bite has been the best i've seen in a while!

Good job Dennis. I am going to PK this weekend for the cook off.
I am gona snatch me up some BBQ and go give PK a try. When the water goes down so far that you can't get your boat out drag it on over to PK.Fishing should be great.
I have been meaning to come over to Graham and try out the crappie fishing. Guess I better wait for now huh?

Johnny, I think Randy knows better, I have fished next to him a little, and I cannot remember ever catching anything while he was watching, but he did tell me that he will try and catch the Hybrids that went over the spillway last year and bring them back to Graham for me, so I look upon him as being a Number 1 fellow. Only thing that bothers me is if we don't get rain one of these days, we will all have nothing else to do but sit around visit on this forum, It may end up being the only outlet for a bunch of us old fish addicts, Just hope I will be able to walk a ways out in the mud with a baitcaster and a box of store bought shrimp, that should help keep me enthused. RANDY, I am looking at Bridgeport and PK when I have to put the boat back on the trailer, Hope my wheel bearings and tires are still good. May be talking to you when our boat ramps become desert, and you can still come up here and unload so far. Well I better go do a little work now, I've sit here long enough. You'all keep sharing the info, I am starting to learn a little,
Dennis
