Went to Alaska last month. Spent 2 days fishing the Minto Flats area and a day fishing for halibut off Homer. This is my wifes first fish, I told her that she wont catch a pike in Texas.

The freezer is full, it cost an arm and a leg to process and fly the fish home. If youll notice in the photo there is a bigger fish to the right barley in the the frame. I told those guys I am glad you caught the big one, I can only imagine flying home 200lbs of fillets at 3.50 lb....

We just checked our fish from florida in coolers. Duct tape it closed after checking it. It was still frozen when we got to DFW.

3.50 lb. To fillet and fedex to the house
On a side note: went to Caddo today, didn't realize there is a kind of pike native to Texas until we got to the lake. Would really like to see a photo of a chain pickerel if anyone has one..
