Babes must be a Ft. Worth, Dallas thing. We aint got none in Houston.
Not a lot of Fried Chicken/Chicken Fried steak places in Houston compaired to Dallas, Tulsa etc. But we have Mexican food on every corner. Yep about 8 locations I live close to the original location, very popular with senior citizens! we went there when it was the only one. good chicken, but certainly not worth the hour and a half wait.

I've been there a few times. Everyone stops after the first round of chicken and sides. What is proper AYCE manners at Babe's? Is it really AYCE fried chicken? I'd tear that up.

Sides... Yeah, that makes more sense. Only so much corn and taters that you can eat. Worst part of Babe's is the 7th degree burns you get in your mouth from trying to eat the chicken when it's fresh out the grease.

Seems like they are frying baby chickens now. the chicken was the size of KFC monday night in arlington.

When we moved here, Babe’s had a big sign in Roanoke that said ‘You can’t spend more than six bucks.’
We ate there a lot because there were only three places around. Babe’s, Roadrunner, and Tater Junction.
That sign is now gone.
